New School Year

The Bob Burdette Center Kicks off the 2025-2026 Program Year

The Bob Burdette Center has officially begun its 2025-2026 afterschool programming year, continuing its work serving the children and families of the West Side of Charleston. This program provides students with academic support, learning opportunities, and a safe space following the school day. Each year the Bob Burdette Center partners with local schools, families, and community organizations to meet the evolving needs of the students it serves.

This school year, the Center will continue to offer a range of services, including homework help, tutoring, STEM learning, art activities, and social-emotional development. Programming is designed to reinforce what students learn during the school day while giving them opportunities to explore new interests and build skills. Staff members are trained to support students both academically and personally, with an emphasis on consistency and relationship-building.

Now in its 29th year of operation, the Bob Burdette Center remains committed to providing high-quality afterschool programming for students in the West Side neighborhood of Charleston. The start of the new year marks another step in that continued effort, focused on helping children succeed in school and in life through stable, community-based support.
