News Release: Bob Burdette Center, Inc. Provides Meals to Children During the Summer

Bob Burdette Center, Inc. (the Center) announces its sponsorship of the federally funded Summer Food Service Program.

Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are open to all children ages 18 years and under who would like to participate.

Meals will be served at the following site: The Bob Burdette Center at Emmanuel, 1401 Washington Street West, Charleston, WV 25387.

Meals will be provided Monday through Friday, beginning June 4, 2026 and ending August 14, 2026. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m., lunch from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m., and an afternoon snack from 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. The program will be closed Friday, July 3, 2026, in observance of Independence Day.

A nutritious meal is important for children to learn, play, and remain active during the summer months. Remember, Hunger Doesn’t Take a Summer Vacation!
