As part of our new behavior incentive program, a select group of students went to the LaBelle Theatre on Thursday, March 20, to see Zootopia 2! This movie night was made possible by the generosity of Dr. Carter and members of his church. The event was originally scheduled for January but had to be postponed due to school cancellations and inclement weather.
This movie night rewarded students for their positive behavior during the month of January. We use a sticker chart to help students visualize the days they demonstrated good behavior and maintained strong attendance. Throughout the month, students could track how many stickers they earned and determine whether they had enough to attend the movie night. This system helps hold them accountable while providing a clear, visual representation of how their actions reflect their progress.
We were excited to have the opportunity to take students to the LaBelle Theatre once again. We believe the movie night was a success, and the students loved watching Zootopia 2. In addition to their CACFP meal and snack, students also received pizza, a drink, and popcorn. It was a fun evening out, and we look forward to more field trips as we continue our behavior incentive program.
