When you are a student at the Bob Burdette Center, you have some really cool opportunities. My own child was a BBC kid and he got to go to Cleveland, OH to see the Cavs play.
It’s especially terrific when we can pair up learning and play to make learning fun!
This past summer, 2022, the kids at North Charleston Community Center had the opportunity to go to the Charleston Fire Department. At the fire department, they had an inflatable that the firefighters use to promote fire safety. You can read about it in this article: https://wchsnetwork.com/charleston-fire-department-unveils-inflatable-safety-house-to-educate-children/
The “smoke” smelled like a scented candle. The kids escaped the fire several times. It was a pretty cool experience and I am happy that we got to attend.
Stay tuned for more fun learning experiences with the kids at the Bob Burdette Center!
